April Seeger
April is a fourth-year Biological Sciences major at UCD and is a Davis native. In the lab she is a volunteer who prepares Delta Smelt tissue for biochemical assays and histology. She is interested in studying how environmental toxins change gene expression and lead to organ damage. Outside of the lab she enjoys going to hot yoga classes!

Emma Claus
Emma is a third-year Environmental Toxicology major at UC Davis. She is a volunteer who scores small freshwater invertebrates and prepares Delta Smelt muscle tissue for analysis, and she is also a mentee in the MSDT One Health program. Emma is interested in how toxicology and environmental science can be applied to the communities affected by contamination. Outside of the lab, she enjoys ceramics and learning new art techniques!

Runze Liu
Runze is a second-year Animal Biology major at UC Davis. He is an international student from Shanghai, China. He is a volunteer who prepares Delta Smelt tissue for analysis. He is interested in conservation of native marine animals including Delta Smelt, Chinook Salmon, and sturgeons. Outside of the lab, he enjoys bird watching and tennis!

I’m a second-year Marine and Coastal Science major at UCD. Work as a
