Siara Mitchell
Siara is a third-year Evolution, Ecology, and Biodiversity major from Los Angeles. Siara works at our CABA facility on toxicity testing, and more recently has been helping maintain with our phytoplankton and Delta Smelt cultures. She is interested in researching animal behavior in marine animals, and how interactions between organisms shape marine ecosystems.

Cecilia Ma Li
Cecilia is a fourth-year Animal Biology major from the Bay area. Cecilia joined our lab in 2022 through the University of California Leadership Excellence through Advanced Degrees (UC LEADS) program. For the program, she conducted an independent project studying the effects of temperature on Delta Smelt embryos (see her poster here). Currently, Cecilia is working on a meta-analysis of contaminants and water flow in the San Francisco Estuary.
